Hunar Ghar at Rampur:
Anvrat presents "हुनर घर" at Rampur, Lohardaga, Jharkhand a skill development and training shelter dedicated to creating sustainable livelihoods and empowering women. Our objective is to provide a comprehensive program in traditional craft practices, where women will be trained in natural dyeing techniques along with crochet and knitting using naturally dyed yarns.
Through Hunar Ghar, we rekindle the warmth of a time when every home carried the touch of handcrafted love, when grandmothers and mothers lovingly crocheted pieces, knitted sweaters, mufflers, caps, and home linens filled with warmth and care.
This 100-year-old Resham crochet textile we recovered from a member’s home is more than a treasured artifact; it is a reminder of a time when every child wore something crafted with love, and every home proudly displayed handmade creations.
As fast fashion took over, these intimate crafts slowly faded. At Anvrat, this rediscovered piece inspired us to revive these cherished skills and bring handmade heritage back into everyday life. Hunar Ghar is our commitment to nurturing creativity, empowering mothers, and ensuring that the legacy of handcrafting thrives once again.
